JAMFEST is an annual Statesboro Alumnae service project that was established in 2007. Its purpose is to assist band directors in the beginning of the year by focusing on individual and ensemble performance. Students learn from master instructors, including faculty from Georgia Southern University. Students are given instruction on breathing, posture, embouchure, scales, arpeggios, tuning, practice habits, and performance anxiety. The Gamma Theta Chapter at Georgia Southern University helps in set-up and clean-up of the event. JAMFEST schools that have participated include: William James Middle, Langston Chapel Middle, Southeast Bulloch Middle, Portal Middle/High, Screven County, Jenkins County Middle, Bulloch Home Schooled and Emanuel County Institute.
